Sixteen Days Old....

Black Swaggers (Blackie x Sashay) at 16 days old. Eyes are open and they are hearing! Precious little bugars. They love to come to my voice roll-over and get tummy and cheek caresses.

Two Weeks Old...

Trying to get caught up on posts. I sometimes post to FB JLS Dalmatians page and don't have time or forget to also post here. So please check out my FB page!

The little "Black Swaggers" are two weeks old today. FAT and roly poly and the little black girl is hanging in there. She is a fighter like me. Ears are opening. Eyes are cracking. Spotting is starting to come in. FUN times. They are so cuddly and adorable! PUPPY BREATH!!!!

Nine Days Old...

Puppies are doing great. Are growing by leaps and bounds. I am just starting to see some spotting just below the fur. The little girl is gaining weight and hanging in there. She is a fighter and will to live is strong. She still is raspy but seems to be getting better after one tough night of getting rid of flem. Keep your prayers coming for her.

We will be one week old tonight! Here are a few photos of us taken over the past couple of days. We are fat and happy and basically just eat and sleep all of the time.

4 Days...

Here is a picture of pups last night at 4 days of age. Looking good! The little girl has gained a tiny bit of weight. She is a fighter. She is nursing and twitching when she is sleeping. She was doing pretty well this afternoon with not much gurgling of her chest. Praying she can beat this aspirated pneumonia. Poor little baby. If she makes it I am going to call her "Miracle"! Please keep praying for the little one.

Three Days Old...

These pups are sturdy at only three days old!
They are getting plenty of milk I would say. LOL

One of the little girls is not doing well unfortunately. I think she aspirated some milk and is having difficulties. She is still nursing and trying, but not really thriving. I am doing what I can for her, but she is not getting better.

A really hard part of breeding...

One Day Old...

Both Sashay and I crashed last night and got several hours of sleep! She is such a good mom. This is one smart girl. She is so careful not to lay on any of her pups. Sometimes a momma dog does that by accident and the pups are not big enough at this time to scooch out from underneath her. Sashay is a first time mommy and already knows everything. Well... except that it was her job to lick and clean them when they poop. LOL it cracks me up when I have to break the news to them... A puppy had poop coming out, I held him up to  her and said, "Get the poop, Sashay" and she sniffed and then went "Yuck" and turned her head away. I told her, "This is your job. You have to lick and clean then and stimulate urination and pooping at this age."
I held the puppy up to her and she took the poop but was making a face. LOL Now she is cleaning them like a pro.

1 Day old pups

I was a bad breeder and did not weight them last night before bed. I was just too exhausted. I had a really long and emotional day, just told a bunch of people some bad news and the outpouring of support and love was so wonderful. I did weigh the smallest girl a couple times yesterday. She was not nursing as well as the others, so I kept on placing her on a teat. I also mixed up some puppy formula and tried to get her to nurse. I have to say she is a stubborn one. She never did really nurse. She is getting her suck reflex down and she is nursing well on her momma now. I think she tasted the formula (not Esbilac but a spin-off brand, I know... it's what they had at the feed store...) and she decided she doesn't want that again! Next time I will buy Esbilac. LOL

All are doing well. Watching the little girl close to make sure she starts gaining.
